Iphone 4S

30 Nov

Good times! 🙂

The Husband asked his officemate in Zurich to buy one for me since the Iphone 4S will be released here in PH by January next year. So my current Iphone 4 went to him since his Nokia N97 mini is almost dying on him.

4S is not that different with the Iphone 4 in terms of features, except for Siri. Have tried her and she’s really not much help. You need to speak slowly and loudly for her to completely understand what you’re saying. She can only send a text message, call someone from your contact, do reminders and alarms. She won’t be able to open apps for you and even google search. But still, I love my new phone!

I also had second thoughts in having it because the “Enable 3G” switch in settings was removed. I always turn it on in my IP4, together with Cellular Data, whenever I want to connect to the Internet if WiFi is not available. Keeping both 3G and Cellular Data off also let me avoid being charged with unnecessary data usage. It turned out that when I switch the “Cellular Data” to On, 3G is also turned on automatically. So no more problemo.

Nov. 17, 2011 - DLA Virtual Science Contest

So proud of my little girl!

Her final score did not place her in the Top 3, but we’re still very proud of her. She got a perfect score in the difficult round! 🙂

Discovering Discovery Suites

25 Nov

* October 30 to 31, 2011

Our family took advantage of the long weekend last October. We stayed overnight at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Manila. I didn’t get to enjoy our stay that much because I had a very serious migraine. I just hoped that the kids had a good time. Those two really love staying in hotels.

Here are some pics:

  • Inside our room

  • Bathroom

  • View from the room

  • Indoor swimming pool

  • Buffet Breakfast (Day 2)

Our comments? Well:

– Going to the basement parking of Discovery Suites was kinda scary. The parkway has very little space that we were afraid we might hit the walls or corners. I think the parking spaces were also small.
– The room we had is big, and we liked that the beds are queen-sized. But it smelled old.
– The kids complained that the TV is also old, not the flat-screen ones that they are used to in hotels. Kids! 😛
– The selection of breakfast food was not that much, but we still enjoyed it.
– The indoor pool was small. We didn’t get to swim in it. Too bad for the kids. But their playtime in the bathtub made it up.

Hello Kitty Tin Can

25 Nov

I made this personalized Hello Kitty tin can as a going-away present to an officemate/friend. I was so glad that she liked it. She’s also a Hello Kitty fan like me. Actually, she’s more into Hello Kitty than I am. She really is addicted to the world’s famous cat! 🙂

Coffin Treat Box

23 Nov

Made these little coffin treat boxes from my Silhouette SD machine. I gave these to the kids in the office during our Trick or Treatlast October 28. They were a hit not only to the kids but to my colleagues as well. So cute! 🙂
